What I'm Loving | 4/22/2018
Life is always a transition period. Throughout our move, I haven't been able to stop myself from thinking "I can't wait for things to get back to normal", but then I remember that things are never truly normal! I just have to remind myself to embrace the chaos, instead of wishing things were different.
Here's what I'm loving lately:
Reading :: Salvage the Bones was a great read! Some of the negative reviews talk about the ending because it's not the usual "wrap everything up in a bow" outro—but I felt that it was very accurate to real life, so I didn't mind. I know that's a big turn off for some though, so I wanted to provide full disclosure. I've read Capital Gaines (love that family!), and now I'm working on Call Me By Your Name before I see the movie!
Listening :: Forbidden by Toddrick Hall has been all over my social media feeds, so I had to check out the hype. I'd say it lives up to it! I wasn't too familiar with who he was, but he's talented across multiple disciplines with an interesting life story, and that all comes through in this album.
Spare Time :: Unpacking, mostly! Living amidst boxes has been grating, but I'm reminding myself that it will all get done in time.
Style :: If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw a sneak peak of our welcome mat. It was one of those serendipitous finds that involved the wrong aisle of Home Depot, stopping to look at something kind of neat, and then realizing it was on a 50% off sale. Those are the kinds of bargains I like!
