What I'm Loving | 9/3/2017
September is here! It's crazy how quickly the year has flown by, but that means the holidays are right around the corner. While I'm not a "September 1st means it's fall" type of person, I do appreciate the addition of pumpkin flavoring to everyday items and knowing that Thanksgiving and Christmas will be right around the corner! Typically I embrace winter with open arms, but this year I won't actually have a winter to welcome (unless it gets below 60 degrees, in which case it's basically winter). I've heard that the city does it big for Christmas decorations though, so that will be a sight!
Books :: I finished Middlesex this week, and it was a fantastic read. I was worried it would take me awhile to go through, but I happened to hit a really interesting part when I had a lot of time to read and I started breezing through it. It was extremely interesting, and the author's voice kept me engaged the entire time. I've started The Nightingale now. Despite already having some frustration with the main characters, I also can't seem to put it down.
Listening :: Girlboss radio is back...but I never listened to it in the first place. So I've started at the beginning to see how I feel. Admittedly, I'm only one episode in because I can't read and listen at the same time, but the concept is cool so I'm excited to learn more.
Spare Time :: Westworld. I finally started watching this series and finished it within the week. I love sci-fi kind of stuff (I grew up watching the Twilight Zone regularly) so I was absolutely enamored with the concept. I highly recommend!
Style :: Summer clothes. I know that all of my friends back home will laugh when I say this, but the Bay Area is breaking records by having temperatures in the 90's all weekend. No one here has air conditioning, so it's a bit of a struggle.
I hope everyone has a fantastic long weekend full of hydration and AC.
